About Saurischia

The term Saurischia refers to the one of the two orders of Dinosaurs. It includes the two legged carnivorous kind (like Velociraptor and Tyrannosaurus Rex) as well as the Sauropods (like Brachiosaurus). The other order Ornithischia includes the beaked herbivores like Triceratops and Hadrosaurus. Of the two, I decided that I liked the way Saurischia sounded better, so I chose to use it.

At this site and in my books, Saurischia is a fictional version of North America in the distant future (the mid-71st century to be more precise). In Saurischia, humans are largely gone, but their legacy lives on. In particular, dinosaurs, reintroduced to the world through genetic science, thrive on a continent dominated by untamed wilderness.

Pockets of civilization exist, but rather than humans, races of anthropomorphic animals vie for survival between one another. The dog-like Dogglings are spread throughout the central sections, clashing with the savage Grimmwolves of the north. Meanwhile, the Cats are masters of the seas and rivers. The cynical descendets of rabbits, The Har live in a constant state of civil war in the Southeast, while in the West, unspeakable monsters prowl the dense foresets.

Into this world come four humans. They have slept for 5000 years. These young teens are about to learn firsthand of the terrible legacy of their race.

This site is being built as a companion site my novels. However, I’m not currently done writing them. As such, it also serves as my reference guide while I write. Consequently, things may change often here.
